Rutgers University-School of Engineering-Department of Ceramic and Materials Engineering

Nanomaterials Science and Engineering

We are developing a NJ Elementary and High School outreach program to promote retention of NJ students in NJ, at Rutgers, and in industry.  If you are an educator and would be interested in setting up a program with us, please contact Brian Mayer by calling 732-445-5684 or emailing at brmayer@rci.rutgers.edu.

Attention Educators:  A downloadable copy of the Resource Guide is now available!  It is a "zipped" file about 13 MB.  The manual, called "Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials:  A Resource Guide for K-12 Teachers," is given out to attendees of our NanoDay events.

Events

  • The next NanoDay is will be held on Saturday, March 6th, 2004. Click here for more information
  • The third biannual Rutgers University Department of Ceramic and Materials Engineering NanoDay was held on Saturday, October 25th and attended by over 25 teachers and approximately 25 high school students.
  • If there are any high schools that have a distance learning system and would like to host a seminar on Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials, please contact Brian Mayer (brmayer@rci.rutgers.edu).
  • Be sure to check out our edition of RutgerScience that was published in Gannett's NJ newspapers on Monday, October 20!
